A supplement to the birds of Norfolk and Lord Howe Islands to which is added those birds of New Zealand not figured by Buller.

Mathews, Gregory M.

London: H F & G Witherby, 1936.
Quarto, 177 pp. 24 (of 41) handcoloured and six (of 16) photographic plates. Binder's green cloth, slightly buckled and bumped, all edges uncut, a very good copy.

A so-called "Doris Eddy" Supplement. Doris Eddy ran Sewards, a long established Melbourne bookshop and at the end of World War Two she purchased the remaining stock of the 1936 Supplement from Gregory Mathews. All copies from this purchase are textually complete but lack some plates. They are usually bound in a characteristic green morocco-grained cloth. Complete 1936 Supplements are rare.
