In all, 60 volumes are due to be published which will describe all the indigenous and naturalised fungi in Australia. Volume 1B is one of two introductory volumes to the series. The volume consists of introductory chapters on fungi in the Australian environment, documenting what is known about them in specific environments and their interactions with plants, humans and other animals.
