Small folio, three volumes, 1880 pp. indices, 56 uncoloured engraved plates. Contemporary full calf, worn, modern spines with labels, some library stamps of the "Royal Zoological Society of New South Wales", occasional heavy foxing and oxidation, slight worming and some staining. The copy of E. P. Ramsay (1842-1916 and curator of the Australian Museum) with his large copperplate signature in all volumes; although there are blemishes it is still a sound, acceptable set.

Octavo, 84 handcoloured engraved plates with tissue-guards and accompanying text leaves. Contemporary half calf and marbled boards with some wear, titlepage dust-soiled with small ink-marks near lower edge and loss to upper fore-corner, plate of Elephant with small tear to fore-edge margin, occasional minor marking, but overall plates in very good condition, rare.
